I completely re-did the pattern for the Alexis Waist Cincher, and made it a much more flattering shape. It's also significantly shorter than it used to be. This is the first full corset I've made with the new pattern, and I'm really pleased with the result. Also, you can see I got my regular innerlining fabric back in stock --- no wrinkles! :)

My trade model had a photoshoot over the weekend, so be on the lookout for new images from that! I didn't have time to photograph the corset before I shipped it, so I'm anxious to see how it looked on her. :)

The very lovely Angie Pontani, wearing the Abigail II corset in gunmetal dupioni. She bejeweled the corset herself, and wore it in her burlesque routine. She looks amazing. :)

See, I told you she was awesome about taking photos for me. :) And SEE - it looks much better on her than the stupid dressform.

Here's the photos of the original corset I started to make for my trade model. Once I realized it was too small, I decided to finish it more simply than the one I sent her. I haven't decided if I'm selling it yet (because we are embarassingly broke), or if I'm going to keep it as a sample for a big show I have coming up.

I haven't had time to go all the way through the contact sheets from the photographer, but he sent me a few that he's already edited.

FINALLY finished this corset today. It's a prize for the first place winner of the semi-annual Java's Bachelor Pad Cheesecake Contest. I sponsor every contest. It's really hard to add prize corsets into my already overloaded work roster, so it's very easy for them to get put on the back burner. :P Because it's a prize corset, it's not made any differently than my standard ones, but it is less-heavily boned.

This is another sample for my trade model, Maria Bella. She has a shoot scheduled May 3. I have another corset, almost complete, that I'll be sending as well (pictures tomorrow, hopefully).

Again, another waist cincher with so-so photographs. This one is currently for sale in my Etsy Shop.

This is my new-ish waist cincher style. I'm really not happy with the photographs. I don't have a dressform that it would fit on, and it just won't lay flat to be photographed.

*wishes for piles of time and money to pay for models*

My adorable client, Sarah (flufftastico), was awesome enough to stop back by my studio to let me shoot a couple photos of her in her corset. I don't have any professional lighting or backdrops, but I think they show off the corset well - much better than the dressform does. :)

As you can see, she still has room to lace down farther, but she was on her way to class and didn't want to be too uncomfortable.

I got rid of the old Miss Rose (because it was a ridiculously complicated and time-consuming style that I just didn't have time for any longer), and revamped it with this luscious new version. My client, who has infinite patience with me, requested some very specific options for her order. I really love how it turned out, and decided to turn it into the new Miss Rose! Please note, however, that my client requested a very long line on the sides - the normal version of this would be several inches shorter on the hip.

I was only able to match the pattern at the center front because I had a very limited amount of fabric, but the pattern seems to look good all over, even without matching.

This is the first time I've done external bone casings out of leather. What a lot. of. work. I think it turned out beautifully, though, so it was totally worth the effort.

Another one that was a bit delayed by the snow. My client is moving away from Ohio, and wanted it to be completed before she moved. I elongated the front and made it more pointy than a standard Abigail at her request. The bow can be tucked behind her underbusk if she doesn't want to wear it out.

My client (vamp_rahvin) was nice enough to let me snag & post photos of her in her new corset (see my Feb 24th entry for more photos & info on the corset itself). It looks fabulous on her!

The blizzard kept me stuck in the house for 4 days. I was not a happy camper. It left me scrambling to meet deadlines (which is definitely on the high end of the stress spectrum :P).  This was one of the corsets that had to be completed, but I got it done on time, and in the hands of it's new owner on time! :D
